When does spring ball start? I’m ready to get Hit-faced and dominate!
When does spring ball start? I’m ready to get Hit-faced and dominate!
So last Thursday’s double hitter ended on bit of a sour note. Mostly due to an arrogant “jerk-off” on the other team. I understand the whole “no one can control your emmotions, but yourself” thing, but it certainly pushes one’s temper when the “jerk-off” doesn’t let up for 1 second. There’s really no need to go into any details of what was said, because it’s over and done with and I’m sure he’ll come this Thursday will a whole new set of crap to dish out, I just wished it wouldn’t bother me so much. I hate to think by my frustration I’ve let my team down, although I think we all were pretty frustrated with him. Maybe we should try a new approach, like my Mom always says, “Kill ‘em with kindness”.
The Summer Playoff schedule has come out and as always we managed to draw the first game against what seems like the same team every time. Sigh… we did squander a 1st or 2nd place finish over the past two weeks, so I suppose we’re mostly to blame. My feeling says we still would have been playing first anyway.
This could be a couple tough weeks ahead of us. Hopefully we whoop some ass this week, cuz next week is gonna be tough no matter what way you look it with Hawkeye and E out.
Know any ringers? Send em my way.
Well I’m pretty sure we took ourselves out of the 1st seed last night by losing 2 of 3. The other team was pretty ‘nice’ though as one of their guys managed to say that word about 200 times over the course of the match. I’m all for being pumped up but mix it up once in awhile. Nice, Great, That a’way, etc. We still managed to down a couple pepperoni pizzas after which luckily wasn’t burnt.
Playoffs next week……Todd said he’s hurting and popping ibuprofen like it’s his job so this may be our time to pump it up and win it all.
I can see into the future…
It might be time to start getting drunk before games………..
So the state pollution officials issued an air advisory today http://www.startribune.com/462/story/1243777.html. An immediate concern came to mind. How can we play volleyball this evening? Well according to the article, if everyone stops driving cars, doesn’t mow lawn, and refrains from having any recreational campfires air quality will improve.
Can everyone please pitch in and do their part…I really want to play volleyball tonight. Afterward, maybe we can celebrate by driving our lawnmowers to Sievers and have a campfire!!
Volleyball theme for our road through the “non-winners” bracket tonight in VB playoffs - “Objects in Mirror are Closer Than They Appear!!”
Team Hitfaced is primed and ready to make a run at the championship - we just took a little longer route to get there.
We’re comin!!!!

Playoffs tonight with the looming threat of nasty weather. I guess we’ll see what happens. It’ll be interesting, it’s supposed to be windy… and we could end up a little wet.
My money is on Scoop’s flight back from Chicago being delayed. We’ll have to play with 4 till he gets in.
We’re comin!
Thanks again to Jason for taking photos.
After playing some intense games of Bola (aka Polish Golf) this weekend at volleyball team outing at the lake, I decided to look up the rules. Ya see, I was making the rules up along the way - and it was working because I won most of the games. Well it turns out we weren’t playing it quite right - one of the rules is “children over 10 can play with proper training and assuming they are mature enough to play - Responsible adult supervision is highly recommended”. We had no such maturity or supervision. Check it out: http://members.tripod.com/cozaded/id45.htm
